$49 USD per month

Billed monthly in advance. Renews automatically until you cancel. Sales tax, if any, is shown at checkout before you pay.

Included

  • Up to 60 chats per billing month, with experts
  • Follow-ups inside each chat, which don't count as new chats
  • Guidance across all six areas: product selection, comparison, pre-purchase compatibility, technology planning, purchase guidance and general technology consultation
  • Your own Ask Buddy account

Not included

  • The products or services we discuss. We don't sell them, and their cost is separate.
  • Repair, troubleshooting, software installation, or technical support of any kind

Plan terms

  • Price: $49 USD per month, billed monthly in advance.
  • Renewal: the plan renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • What's included: up to 60 chats per billing month. A chat is one chat session about one topic. Follow-up messages in the same chat are included and don't count as new chats. A new topic starts a new chat.
  • Unused chats don't roll over to the next month. If you reach the limit, you can start new chats when your next billing month begins.
  • Chats we can't take because they're outside what Ask Buddy does don't count toward your limit.
  • Cancel any month: in your account or by email. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • First-month refund: ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full.
  • Taxes: any sales tax that applies is shown at checkout, before you pay. There are no other fees.
  • Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before any change takes effect, so you can cancel first.
  • Receipts: you receive an emailed receipt for each payment.

How you get started

  1. When the plan opens, you subscribe at checkout.
  2. We email you a link to create your account.
  3. Log in and start a chat. Tell us what you're trying to decide.
  4. Follow up in the same chat. Start a new chat for a new topic.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel any month and you won't be charged again. Ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments for months in which the service was available aren't refunded, except for billing errors or where the law requires. Read the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
